SmartShop.lk operates a dual cloud platform providing both retail point of sale (POS) solutions for businesses and dedicated online web storefronts for merchants across Sri Lanka. Each independent shop merchant is responsible for their product descriptions, authentic catalog listings, item packaging, and order dispatch.
All prices displayed on storefronts include applicable taxes and service charges set by the store owner and platform terms. The total checkout price displayed prior to payment confirmation is final with zero hidden charges added at receipt.
Net earnings for confirmed customer transactions are recorded transparently in the merchant ledger and settled weekly or monthly to the store owner's registered Sri Lankan commercial bank account.
To eliminate malicious bots, prank bookings, and fraudulent deliveries, customers must verify their mobile telephone number via 6-digit SMS OTP prior to order confirmation. Placing intentional fake or prank orders constitutes a criminal offense under Sri Lankan electronic transaction statutes and will result in permanent blacklist and IP reporting.
