- Processing and fulfilling online e-commerce orders smoothly across registered stores.
- Authenticating customer phone numbers via 6-digit SMS OTP to protect merchants against bot attacks, fake orders, and spam checkout submissions.
- Calculating parcel weight and postage charges via Sri Lanka Post COD or private courier integrations.
- Processing secure online card payments via Sri Lanka's approved PayHere.lk payment gateway.
- Calculating vendor net earnings, platform service charges (5%), and issuing weekly/monthly payout settlements to shop owners.
- Sending real-time order status updates, dispatch notifications, and delivery tracking numbers to customers via SMS or WhatsApp.
3. Payment Security & Data Sharing
SmartShop.lk does NOT store customer credit card numbers, CVV codes, or bank passwords on our servers. Online card transactions are encrypted with 256-bit SSL and processed directly through Central Bank of Sri Lanka approved gateways (PayHere.lk).
Necessary order dispatch details (customer name, delivery address, phone number, and items ordered) are shared exclusively with the relevant shop merchant and authorized delivery logistics partners (such as Sri Lanka Post) strictly for delivery fulfillment.
